ARTHRITIS.
Inflammation of the fibrous and serous tissues of the joints : distinguished from gout, because it only attacks one or two joints at the same time.

Electro-Homoeopathy Treatment for ARTHRITIS .—Dil S. 20 globules of L. dry, on waking. Baths of Cs. Compresses of A3 to the heart, and of E2 to the hypochondria. In obstinate cases Dil. C. Application of G. E, to the suffering parts.

ARTICULAR RHEUMATISM.
Pains more or less excruciating in the joints, very gene¬rally producing swelling and redness of the affected parts, with more or less high fever. This disease may be complicated by two serious diseases: inflammation of the membrane which surrounds the heart, or of that which forms a coating to the cavities of the heart—pericarditis, and endocarditis.
Treatment.—Dil. A. alt. C. Same remedies at meals. Baths of C5 and of G. E. Unctions over the heart of A2, and of F2 over the hypochondria. 10 globules of Vermi- fugo before sleep.
The articulations may be the seat of rheumatic gout, of gouty deposit, of general arthritis, of anchylosis, or of caries. In infants, swelling of the joints is generally a sign of rickets. The elbow and knee joints may be the seat of white swelling.
Treatment.—Dil. S. Application of R. E. to the solar plexus, the occiput, the pit of the stomach and the sympathetic. In obstinate cases, C. alt. A. Baths of Cs or S.
